Psychotherapist / Art Psychotherapist / Clinical Supervisor working from my therapy practice within the Cotswolds and also online on zoom.

Individual Psychotherapy

I offer tailored one-on-one psychotherapy sessions, often referred to as talk therapy or simply ‘therapy’, to address a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.  I offer a safe, confidential space where we can explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences together. As a psychodynamic psychotherapist practitioner, my approach focuses on uncovering unconscious patterns and helping you gain deeper self-awareness. We’ll work at your pace to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and personal struggles.  By exploring the root causes of your concerns, we can work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Art Psychotherapy

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy which uses visual and tactile media as the basis of communication between client and therapist. I work with clients in group workshops or individual sessions dependent upon specific needs, supporting people of all ages and abilities and at all stages of life, to discover an outlet for often complex and confusing feelings, and foster self-awareness and growth. You don’t need to be experienced or “good” at art as this is simply a medium for communication and understanding.

The relationship between therapist, client, the art process and creation is key, with responses to both the activity undertaken and the work produced with specific restorative interventions which can instigate purposeful discussion.  These sessions can help my clients make sense of what they have created in relation to their life experiences and state of mind, regulate emotions and assist in navigating the complexities of communication with others.

The creative process serves as a therapeutic tool, enabling clients to confront and work through complex emotions in a safe, supportive environment.

Family & Couple Therapy

I work with families and couples to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships.

Family therapy can bring about transformative benefits for family members experiencing relational distress or individual psychological challenges. The practical differences it makes include the fostering of understanding and collaboration among family members and the enhancement of communication and problem-solving skills. It can be particularly beneficial in resolving conflicts and healing wounds, thereby restoring harmony within the family unit. Additionally, family therapy helps in identifying and altering unhealthy patterns, enabling family members to support one another more effectively. The outcomes often lead to improved individual mental well-being and stronger, more resilient familial bonds. By addressing issues in a collective setting, family therapy assists in cultivating a supportive and nurturing environment, which can be instrumental in facilitating individual healing and enduring familial relationships.

Workplace Team Therapeutic Interventions

My family therapy approach can be effectively adapted for use in workplace settings, helping teams and business management address dynamics, improve communication, and resolve conflicts to create a more harmonious and productive environment.
